Blue Bell Transitional Kitchen

A Bold Transformation Where Style Meets Function

Project Overview

Project Location : Blue Bell, PA

Timeline : 3 Months

Budget : $80,000

Scope : Complete kitchen redesign with a focus on open flow, modern finishes, and a stunning statement island.

The Challenge

The original kitchen felt cramped, dated, and disconnected from the rest of the home. Without an island, there was limited prep space and nowhere for family or friends to gather. Overhead soffits above the cabinetry made the room feel even smaller, and a narrow doorway into the dining room created a boxed-in layout that lacked flow.

Our clients dreamed of a kitchen where they could cook, entertain, and connect — but the existing space simply couldn’t deliver.

The Vision & Transformation

We completely reimagined the layout to create an open, functional, and timeless design. By widening the dining room doorway, we improved the flow and sightlines, instantly making the entire space feel larger and more welcoming.

A custom-built island became the new centerpiece, offering seating for casual meals and extra prep space for entertaining. Every material and finish was thoughtfully selected to strike the perfect balance between bold statement pieces and classic transitional style.

Signature Design Features

Exotic Granite Island — The star of the space, featuring a one-of-a-kind slab with rare blue reflective mica that catches the light beautifully and adds an unexpected, luxurious pop.

Brazilian Cherry Hardwood Floors — Rich, warm tones ground the kitchen and flow seamlessly into surrounding spaces, creating continuity throughout the home.

Custom Shaker Cabinetry — Crisp, clean KraftMaid cabinetry provides both timeless style and maximum storage, paired with Top Knobs hardware for a refined finish.

Marble Backsplash with Glass Mosaic Inlay — Adds subtle texture and visual interest while complementing the natural tones of the granite and cabinetry.

Open, Airy Layout — A redesigned floor plan eliminates cramped bottlenecks and transforms the kitchen into an inviting, functional hub.
