At Aslan Interiors, our design and build process occurs in multiple phases. Here’s what it might look like for a typical client to work with us from design to completion of the project.
Initial Meeting
Jeff Whitted, principal designer and owner of Aslan Interiors, meets with our clients personally, getting to know them and their desires, dreams, and goals for their project. Jeff’s 30+ years of experience in interior design and remodeling make him an invaluable resource in designing a space to match our clients’ needs. There are few projects that Jeff doesn’t have relevant experience in!
Concepts
In this phase, Jeff’s artistic gifts shine in his ability to sketch concepts that help our clients visualize the finished project. Below is an example of an exterior job we did this past year.
From an initial sketched concept, we then design the project on Chief Architect, the premier design software for architects, builders, and designers. We produce life-like renderings to aid our clients in the decision making process.
Design Development
As the concepts are produced, we work with our clients to hone the concepts, making changes wherever necessary in order to make their dreams come true. Specific selections are made while balancing aesthetics, quality, and the client’s budget.
Procurement
Once the budget, designs, and plans are finalized, Aslan enters into procurement mode, ordering all cabinetry, fixtures, tile, flooring, etc. from our various industry partners and scheduling professional installers. The length of this part of the process depends on what materials are selected—for example, some custom cabinetry manufacturers may have an eight week lead time.
Build
Once all the materials have arrived, construction begins, and the client’s dream becomes a reality!
