Scope : Complete kitchen redesign, layout transformation, lighting upgrades, and premium material selections.

The Challenge

This home’s kitchen had tremendous potential but suffered from dated finishes, poor lighting, and an inefficient layout. The original design lacked proper cooktop ventilation and didn’t allow for comfortable seating or open views into the dining room. Our clients wanted a statement-piece island, more natural flow between rooms, and a design that felt sleek, modern, and inviting.

The Vision & Transformation

To achieve a bold, contemporary aesthetic while dramatically improving function, we reimagined the entire layout:

Installed a structural LVL beam to open the doorway into the dining area, instantly creating an airy, connected floor plan.

Closed off the original laundry entrance and redesigned traffic flow with a new doorway into the living room, improving movement and sightlines.

Relocated the range and ventilation for optimal cooking performance and design symmetry.

Designed a large, waterfall-style island with seating for six, making the kitchen the heart of the home.

The result is a modern showpiece that combines cutting-edge style, natural textures, and open, light-filled spaces.

Statement Island : An oversized waterfall island topped with exotic Blue Roma quartzite serves as both a focal point and a gathering space.

Premium Cabinetry : Sleek slab cabinet doors by Contemporary Artisans, featuring Egger fine line surface décor for a clean, modern look.

Lighting Upgrade : Dramatic pendant fixtures from Lights of Scandinavia add architectural balance and visual impact above the island.

Seamless Ventilation : Relocating the cooktop allowed us to install a proper Zephyr hood from Keiffers, enhancing both performance and style.

Refined Finishes : Warm honey-bronze hardware pairs with brushed-gold plumbing for a curated, sophisticated finish palette.
